Some people watch movies for the story. She watched them for everything else.
The way a room was arranged, how a frame was composed, why a particular song played at a specific moment, or how a subtle colour palette could completely change an audience’s emotions.
As a student, she often joked that her dream job would be getting paid simply to watch movies all day. It felt like a silly dream at the time — one of those impossible wishes you make without expecting it to come true.
Her journey into the industry began when she joined a small local production house in Saigon as a producer. For the first time, she stepped behind the screen and discovered the incredible world that existed before the cameras started rolling.
She learned how every production came together through the collaboration of countless talented people — suppliers, casting teams, celebrities, directors, directors of photography, stylists, editors, and crew members. She fell in love with the energy of production: the planning, the problem-solving, the creativity, and the excitement of turning ideas into stories.
The more projects she worked on, the more she realised that filmmaking was not just about creating beautiful images.
When the opportunity came to help found Lou Lou Production, she didn’t hesitate. She immediately saw the chance to combine her passion for filmmaking with something deeply meaningful: helping families preserve the moments that matter most.
Today, Lou Lou Production is built on a simple belief — that our most precious memories deserve to be captured with the same care, emotion, and artistry as the films we love. Whether it’s documenting joyful family milestones, celebrating everyday connections, or preserving the voice, laughter, and presence of loved ones for future generations, Lou Lou creates films that become treasured keepsakes.
